SYNthesis med chem is a chemistry-focused, contract research organisation providing custom synthesis, medicinal chemistry and integrated drug discovery services.
With synthetic chemistry provided by our teams in Shanghai, Suzhou and Chengdu and medicinal chemistry from staff in Melbourne and Montreal, SYNthesis employs over 500 chemists across three continents.
SYNthesis med chem’s clients include academic researchers & research institutes as well as many small, medium and large biotech/pharma companies.
SYNthesis engages with life science researchers requiring access to high quality custom synthesis or medicinal chemistry services either on a fee-for-service or FTE basis. Through our parent company Viva Biotech, we can also offer additional Drug Discovery capabilities, including protein production, structural biology, bioassays and DMPK, enabling fully Integrated Drug Discovery programs.
Design, innovation, creativity and problem solving
Our medicinal chemists provide the design, innovation, creativity and problem solving expertise required to complement the skills & capabilities of the company’s expert team of China-based, synthetic chemists.
Our medicinal chemists are all experienced and highly skilled scientists with a track record of delivering clinical candidates, a passion for discovering new medicines and a comprehensive insight gained from managing more than 100 projects covering all phases of the pharmaceutical R&D process. They also act as project managers for custom synthesis, medicinal chemistry and integrated drug discovery projects.
In 2021 SYNthesis med chem was acquired by Viva Biotech.
This acquisition gave SYNthesis access to Viva’s structure-based and fragment-based platforms. Together, SYNthesis and Viva can provide integrated discovery services coupling the world standard medicinal chemistry at SYNthesis with Viva’s industry-renowned services in structural biology and protein sciences.
